A new version of System Architect has been commercially released

PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT:

 System Architect® 11.4.11.2 Released

As a valued System Architect® customer, we want to let you know that a new version of System Architect has been commercially released. We continue to drive improvements to the product within themed areas to enable you to build and maintain a strategic, value-driven enterprise architecture.

System Architect 2024 – Update 2; Version 11.4.11.2 provides the following enhancements:

Brainstorming and Ideation
A new diagram set is available to allow you to brainstorm, ideate, and sketch thoughts on a whiteboard canvas. The diagram set is available independent of any framework. Once created, the conceptual sketches can be mapped into the more rigorous data-driven frameworks such as TOGAF®, UAF®, DoDAF 2, and ArchiMate®.

Handles Allowing Resizable Text for Names of Symbols
In a major enhancement, you can now use handlebars to resize the names of node symbols, line symbols, and the graphic comment of symbols - instead of adding returns into the text field. The feature is enabled through the Resizable option in the Text Position dialog. This feature is available in System Architect (SA) and System Architect XT (SA XT).
Heat Map Manager
Several usability enhancements are provided for the Heat Map Manager including taking into account the font style of symbols when building the Heat Map Manager legend.
Meta-Model Diagram
Enhancements are provided for the unique and powerful Meta Model diagram - which enables users to direct System Architect to "Show me the Metamodel" - and have SA automatically display a data model of the underlying metamodel in use, plus any framework customizations. Users can now create a metamodel constrained to only show incoming or outgoing relations of specified definitions. Support for explicit relationships on Meta Model diagrams has also been revisited to allow source/target objects to be added based on those relations.
Data Modeling
Entity Diagrams and Physical Data Models have been enhanced to display Allow Null and Unique properties on Entity/Table symbols, in addition to all the other display options already provided. The display of Allow Null and Unique is triggered by an INI switch: Tools > Session Options, entry DisplayDMExtraProperties (Y/N).
CSV Import Improved
Given a CSV file, deletions can now be performed through auto-CSV imports. The match is done on GUID, so the GUID property/column must be filled in the CSV file.
Verify and Repair
When running the Verify and Repair utility, users can now opt to see messages of what is being done, with the report being scrolled up as it progresses. Previously, the user could view the report only after it had been completed. The utility now also shows how many repairs were made, and the total number of fixed objects.
Usability: Adding New Definitions within an Edit Dialog
In the definition dialog, users can now create a related definition without having to select a definition type if only one type is available. Users will still click the "+" button if the related definition is one of many possible types, but if there is only one object type to choose from, the type-picker step is skipped.
Scorecard Dashboard in SA XT
A new Scorecard widget has been added to the SA XT Dashboard page, which displays similarly to a Report widget, but allows for adding logic to display Highlights, Color, or Images on how data matches some specified criteria.

Tabbed Tables in SA XT
A new stylesheet is provided to allow tabbed output of SA XT report pages. The stylesheet, named Tabbed Tables.xsl, displays subreports in tabs on a report page representing a definition (versus one after each other in a list).
Client Issues
A number of client issues are also fixed, as enumerated and described in the Release Notes.
