As a valued UNICOM customer, we want to let you know that a new version of UNICOM® Multichannel Bank Transformation Toolkit has been commercially released.

UNICOM Systems, Inc. has announced a major new release, version 9, of the UNICOM Multichannel Bank Transformation Toolkit (BTT), which was acquired from IBM Corporation in March 2016. To embrace modern web based client framework technologies such as HTML5, Angular, Ionic, and Bootstrap, this new release introduces a major new design component, the Client Engine, which allows integration of current or new BTT applications with these modern, responsive and dynamic user interface technologies. The Client Engine provides a JavaScript interface library, which can drive robust BTT applications running in a Java application server.

The UNICOM Multichannel Bank Transformation Toolkit (BTT), available from the UNICOM Systems TeamBLUE™ organization, delivers faster application development and an improved runtime infrastructure for banks, based on IBM WebSphere® Application Server. BTT helps businesses deliver targeted multichannel marketing campaigns and provides prebuilt solution templates for rapid delivery of high-volume mobile and internet banking applications.

The new release, UNICOM Multichannel Bank Transformation Toolkit 9.0.0, now supports integration with a client app based on almost any kind of JavaScript framework and provides examples for use with either Angular or Ionic frameworks.

New features include:
  • Client Engine - The Client Engine provides an API into the BTT server from a JavaScript program running in either a web browser or mobile device, effectively providing a bridge between a client app and a BTT application program. Customers can use their current client application design tools and processes, separating the user interface design from the application design, which allows customers to have a consistent look and feel between applications, such as between customers' existing web applications or mobile applications and BTT applications running in an application server. With only around 10 main APIs, the client application, using the Client Engine approach, can drive the flow of a BTT application with all application related flow, operation and data definitions programmed using the BTT application development environment. All this allows developers to be able to adopt to almost any kind of modern JavaScript framework for the client application without losing the power of BTT.
  • Client Engine Angular service - This is a convenience API for the Client Engine in Angular service for easier development with Angular.
  • BTT Angular Example - A sample application to demonstrate these features:
    • Client Engine (Angular Service)
    • Angular 5, Angular Material, ngx-bootstrap
    • Bootstrap based responsive design
  • BTT Ionic Example - A sample application to demonstrate these features:
    • Client Engine (Angular Service)
    • Ionic 3 with Cordova plugins (camera and NFC)
    • BTT on Mobile
In addition to our ongoing commitment to releasing new features and functionality to support application development in retail banking, UNICOM Systems plans to extend the toolkit to meet the needs of customers operating in other markets.

At UNICOM, our commitment is to ensure that ongoing research and development continue for all UNICOM Software Solutions and to maintain the highest standards of technical support for you, our customers.

Sincerely,
